Sun Microsystems hopes archrival HP will someday soon become a customer -- of its computer chips, that is. Today, the Santa Clara, Calif., company best known as a developer of servers and software is unveiling its first chips to be sold by Sun's newly formed commodity chip business. Code-named "Niagara 2," the chip will be available sometime in the last quarter of this year.
