While its not based on a movie, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe takes your enemies from the film and the comic books and puts you on the same team to over come an even bigger evil threat. No Wii specifics have been announced yet but redemption is close, if Activision can pull it off that is. After Spiderman 3 the next game better be really good or it could be time to give the franchise a rest.

Shiggy has told the media that he will continue working and can't see himself retiring, "Don't movie directors usually make films until they die? Annually, I don't make that much money. So I don't think I can retire," Miyamoto confessed. As long as he keeps making grand games like Galaxy (and yes, Wii Fit), we're more then happy to have him around.

Nintendo are really going after the casual market with this one and I reckon they have hit the nail on the head. Wii Fit features a scale like pad which you stand on and it can measure things such as BMI to which side you lean to while standing. To the hardcore gamer, they are probably thinking "WHAT ARE YOU DOING NINTENDO?!" but to the average joe, this will probably provide hours of entertainment.

Todays update brings the return of perhaps one of the most irritating items in the Smash Bros. series, the Bumper. Yes, that damned pinball machine part is making a return to the game after 9 years and it's still going to be irritating as ever. Nothing has changed though, it still does what the old one did, bump opponents around like a pinball. Oh how I hated the bumper...

Todays Smash Bros. update brings us Dr. Wright in the form of an assist trophy. The green haired doctor from the SNES version of Sim City is here to help with towering skyscapers that grow out of the ground, knocking opponents flying. It would seem that there will be endless possibilities for Assist Trophy characters and that's not a bad thing.

The popular Destroy All Humans! franchise is going to be coming to the Wii in a game that?s been built from the ground up. Destroy All Humans! Big Willy Unleashed is the official title for the game and it is set for release sometime early next year. The game was pretty popular if I?m not mistaken, so its nice to see even more people supporting the Wii.

Steven Spielberg and EA have joined to bring a couple of games to this generation of consoles. The PS3/360 game will be a Sci-Fi action game while the Wii will be getting a physics based puzzle game which has been codenamed ?PQRS.? Similar to Jenga, the game will have you trying to build impossible structures using building blocks which are controlled by the Wiimote all while being done in a colourful cartoon land. Apparently Spielberg conceived the game when he met Shigeru Miyamoto and we all know how Miyamoto?s influence on games is, so we?ll have to wait and see how this turns out.

In the light of the PS3 price drop, many have speculated that Nintendo might drop the price of the Wii to keep it competitive, but that isn?t the case it would seem. But when you look at the Wii?s momentum, it would be silly to drop the price at this time. George Harrison of Nintendo had a scathing comment to make though ?A $100 price drop won?t make a difference (for PS3). Can Sony afford a $200 price drop? I don?t think so.? Harsh words George, but still partially true.

It seems Nintendo and Harvey Norman are back in negotiations to stock the Wii after last year initially being shunned by Nintendo. It seems now that this reluctance to sell the Wii at launch last year was in part due to shortages of the Wii system but Nintendo now says that this is not a problem. As we know the Wii had been sold out worldwide for some time.
