not sitting right in front of you? On the first anniversary of Vista's release to businesses, it's not clear that adoption levels have yet met even the industry's modest initial expectations. But several recent developments may mean Microsoft's flagship operating system is in for a better second year.

Even though Sony's said that they will replace dead SIXAXIS controllers once the battery life is gone—there's actually a note that the battery has a limited life-span in the manual—they also give you a method for removing the battery. All you have to do is unscrew 5 screws on the back of the controller, pull the casing up, and disconnect the connector to the battery. In the above picture, you can see the connector and the battery (that may be exchangeable without getting an entirely new controller).
Our guess is that Sony, or perhaps third party companies, will sell these batteries and you will be able to replace them yourself with 15 minutes and some screwing. – Jason Chen

TopCow Comics has accidently confirmed that Starbreeze studios is working on a sequel for The Darkness, which was released in June this year. An employee from TopCow has accidently revealed to Dutch rapper 'Lycan-Strife' that Starbreeze is working on The Darkness 2 in secret, for next-generation consoles.
The Dutch rapper 'Lycan-Strife' has a good connection with TopCow and the Dutch rapper even made a tribute rap for The Darkness. A TopCow Comics employee then tipped 'Lycan-Strife' with the news that Starbreeze is working on The Darkness 2. 'Lycan-Strife' then reported the news to Dutch website Xbox360Only.
The sequel will arrive sometime around late 2008/early 2009, and will continue directly where The Darkness ended. No official confirmation has been given yet, but it seems pretty likely it will happen.

Another poster for the upcoming Catherine Hardwicke directed romantic vampire drama TWILIGHT has made its way online and it has 50% more bland, generic real estate! Yay! It's the British quad poster and, normally, that would be a good thing, but these posters haven't exactly broken the mold with creativity. Of course, considering they're based on Stephanie Meyer's ridiculously popular series, they don't have to....

The PlayStation 3 may have a great/awful Gamepad, and pretty decent online functionality, but can it run Linux? Yes. Yes it can. Yellow Dog linux just announced that its Linux V5.0 works with the PS3, which includes FireFox, Open Office, and whatever you feel like installing.
Thanks to the PS3's 20GB/60GB hard drive, you're free to plug in a mouse and keyboard, install Yellow Dog Linux, and use this as a regular computing machine. Since the PS3 can output 1080p, you can probably even install some media player functionality and bittorrent downloading software to rig up a one-stop-shop for high definition media playback.
