Kotaku writes:
"Arabic is read right to left, but many of the in-game Arabic signs have been mirrored right to left so they come out backwards, funny and strange to native speakers. As Hatem points out, almost all the letters in Arabic connect. More often than not, the in-game signs feature Arabic letters that don't connect, changing meaning."

After the astonishingly average "Conan", 1PStart's JW hoped to get a somewhat more exciting experience out of WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2008. Instead what he got was a game so broken, so rehashed and so fundamentally flawed that it led him to invent a new level of low score to give the game.
"This game is absolutely garbage. If you buy this game for yourself you?re a fool, if you get it as a gift you need to ask for a receipt, and if you buy it for someone else you don?t love them. Avoid it at all costs."

We were always curious as to why computers don't make it easier to take advantage of that fancy little Bluetooth headset of yours -- why buy a whole 'nother headset for Skype and Counter Strike (is that what kids are up to these days?) when your ridiculously overpriced Jawbone will do just fine?
Callpod's newly released Drone USB Bluetooth adapter makes your Bluetooth headset look just like a regular headphone / mic combo to a PC or Mac, perfect for chewing out the kids from your hotel room over some long-distance Skype without messing with a tangle of wires. Callpod is also touting a 100 meter wireless range, and can naturally do regular, boring Bluetooth chores like transferring files and tethering your keyboard. The Drone is available now for $50.

Virtual Pet, Simulation, from Ubisoft
The following is a 1986 music video by the "Wish He Was Legendary"
Oran "Juice" Jones, for his "Should Have Been a Hit" song, "The Rain." Things begin normal enough, with Oran spying on his ladyfriend walking in "the rain" with another man... but things take a turn for the amazing
about halfway through, when he delivers a soliloquy in song that would make even the most hardened of sluts shake with fear. Watching this, one can't help but wonder the role Oran "Juice" and "The Rain" played in the murder of
Nicole Brown Simpson... or in creating the

Either way, one thing is certain: We are not puttin' our hands on that coat!

Pro-G writes: "When you play a game you invest a good deal of time in it. Some games only take five hours, others take 20 hours or more, yet there's one thing that will stay with you longer than anything else: the ending. A good ending can lift a good game into great territory, while an OK game can suddenly seem a whole lot better. So why is it that so many games end on such bum notes?"
"Firstly, I present you with an example of how to do it right: Call of Duty 4. I'm not going to spoil things for you, but the ending will live with me forever and CoD4 will always be the game I bring up when talking about great endings. The guys at Infinity Ward just nailed it, not only in the stunning final moments that had me gawping at everyone in the room to make sure they had seen what just happened, but also the entirety of the last level. And it didn't end there, with more brilliance during and after the credits."
Perhaps the most interesting thing about Pain besides the monkey spanking, flopping bodies, fart jokes, etc. is that it seems to be a game that relies very much on building upon the game's foundation, be it from the player or SCEA. There is a finite set of rules, and the player then lets loose within the parameters in order to essentially create their own experience (to a degree).
And the developer plans to continually add content to the game. Pain will initially "ship" with a handful of multiplayer modes, allowing you to challenge up to four friends in how well you can cause, well, pain.

I use a laptop exclusively. My hunched over posture shows irrefutable proof of this. The Alto is a Logitech combination keyboard and laptop perch that puts the screen at eye level, so you can keep on computing with perfect spinal alignment. The USB keyboard has a full layout, including media keys and a numeric keypad. The setup also doubles as a 3-port USB hub. And it's easy to setup, unfolding from a laptop sized case in about 30 seconds.
Interesting, interesting. I'm tempted to try this bad boy out. But I think my bones have fused, and it'll hurt way too much to sit up straight. There's still hope for you, though.
Jump for a picture of the Alto folded up all nice and tight.

EA wheels out Nintendo-platform editions of last year's disruptive debut into the skateboarding genre next month.
Heading into the holiday season, it's worth looking at NPD's sales figures from September in the United States with particular attention paid to the total hardware to software sales ratios of the current generation consoles. Although people typically call it the "attach rate," NPD was clear to point out to Joystiq that an attach rate corresponds to a specific title (e.g., Halo 3 has a 110% attach rate). The sales ratio has been most controversial for the Wii as the console's been unfairly labeled as a Wii Sports seller, and not much else. Comparing current hardware to software sales ratios shows Xbox 360 leads with nearly seven games sold for every system. PS3 and Wii, in terms of this ratio, are practically equal, although the Wii has sold 2.6 million more units. The hard numbers:
* Xbox 360: hardware to software ratio: 6.59 (hardware total sold = 6.8 million; software total sold = 44.8 million)
* PlayStation 3: hardware to software ratio: 3.58 (hardware total sold = 1.9 million; software total sold = 6.8 million)
* Wii: hardware to software ratio: 3.44 (hardware total sold = 4.5 million; software total sold = 15.5 million)

In 1945, five Marines and one Navy Corpsman gave America hope during World War II when they bravely climbed to the top of Mount Suribachi on the Japanese island of Iwo Jima and raised a U.S. flag, becoming instant heroes as the picture of the event became one of the most famous photographs in American history. While many know and recognize the picture, few know the story behind what actually happened. In Paramount Pictures' Flags of Our Fathers , renowned director Clint Eastwood tells his version of the battle of Iwo Jima based on the bestselling book by James Bradley (with Ron Powers), the son of John "Doc" Bradley, one of the soldiers pictured raising the flag.

There's no doubt about it -- Bleach for the Nintendo DS is anime-based gaming done right. While Dark Souls feels more like an update than a full-out sequel to its predecessor, it provides just the right amount of action, story, and new content to warrant some attention from fans of the series. With tweaked controls, more balanced characters, and engaging combat to boot, Bleach once again raises the bar for all DS fighting games.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Bleach: Dark Souls isn't just a good sequel, it's undoubtedly one of the most impressive fighting games on the DS.
