I've had the Samsung M610 for a few days now, but I'll defer to Laptop magazine for their full, in-depth review. For the most part, the review is pretty fair to the cellphone, but I had a few problems with it. The reviewer correctly points out that the cellphone is quite small. If you like small cellphones with tons of multimedia options, you really can't go wrong with the M610. What I do have a problem with is...
... some of the nit-picking on the part of the reviewer. For instance, yes, the microSD slot is located underneath the battery, but how many times do you actually remove the microSD card? If it's more than once in a while, you might do well to buy a real camera. Laptop also claims that the M610 isn't as full-featured as the LG Fusic, but I'll be damned if my friends didn't mark out at all the things it can do. This is relevant because my friends are in the age group that LG/Sprint is marketing the cellphone: young 20-somethings with lemonade stand money to spend.
The Sprint Power Vision Network is really quite hip and trendy, according to my dopey friends. Never underestimate the power to download ThisWeeksHitSingle to a cellphone. (Granted, for $2.50 a pop, but it's all free with the review unit.)
Overall, the review definitely points out the cellphone's strengths (thinner than the RAZR, tons of multimedia nonsense to play around with, really nice "feel" to it, etc.) while throwing in a few rounds of "well it should do this." Whatever. It's a better-than-decent cellphone and is a lot better than the LG Chocolate, my usual day-to-day cellphone and a definite competitor in the "look whole cool my phone looks" department. – Nicholas Deleon

The Capitalist's Bible, also known as the
Wall Street Journal, gives a
backhanded compliment to the Wii today saying it gets people off the couch, but "is turning out to be more exercise than some players bargained for." The article explores how people are beginning to develop -- wait for it -- "Wii elbow." One after another the
WSJ serves up another poor soul who has been exerted by the Wii-ness. For example, Ryan Mercer lifts weights during the week but
Wii Sports' boxing is pwning him, "I was soaking wet with sweat, head to toe -- I had to go take a shower." The following morning he was so sore he had trouble getting his shirt on.
Nintendo's
name-dropping spokesperson Perrin Kaplan is quoted in the piece saying she hasn't received any complaints about soreness. Serving back
WSJ's backhanded compliment she says, "It was not meant to be a Jenny Craig supplement ... if people are finding themselves sore, they may need to exercise more."
So the answer is to train up before you Wii and you won't get sore, but please remember you can always play the Wii like a
toolbox.

Henry Roth (Adam Sandler), a marine veterinarian living in Hawaii, meets Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore) in a cafe and they develop a relationship. However, it soon emerges that Lucy suffers from anterograde amnesia due to a car accident she was in a year earlier with her father, rendering her incapable of forming new long-term memories. Her condition leaves her with no memory of anything between the day of the accident and the present as she cannot convert short-term memories into long-term memories as she sleeps. She believes every day to be October 13, 2002. Henry therefore must find new and imaginative ways of winning Lucy over every day, to the disapproval of her father and brother. Henry decides to remedy this using a diary and a tape reminding Lucy of events since the accident and explaining why she cannot remember these events; it eventually succeeds and the end of the film depicts Henry and Lucy as married.

The Hulk and War Machine, or at least the actors who play them, have joined the cast of Ridley Scott's
Factor X, a film chronicling the true story of how the infamous BTK killer was captured. The
Hollywood Reporter reveals today that thesps Eric Bana and Terrence Howard have joined the forthcoming New Line-based thriller which may become a directing vehicle for Scott who is producing the pic under his Scott Free Prods. banner.
Factor X, written by screenwriter Gregory Allen Howard, tells how a young, black counterterrorism expert from Washington (Howard) teamed up with a Wichita police detective (Bana), who spent his career trying to chase down the killer.
THR explains that scribe Howard began personally pursuing the rights to counterterrorism expert Stanley Campbell's story after meeting him at a dinner party thrown by his cousin, a federal judge.
To catch the killer, who murdered people in and around Wichita, Kansas, from 1974-1991, Campbell invented a data reduction process to mathematically rule out suspects. After a year of being courted by Howard, Campbell eventually caved after he promised not to not make an exploitative movie.
Eric Bana, last seen in Spielberg's Munich, next stars opposite Drew Barrymore in Lucky You.
Terrence Howard has a number of projects in the can and is getting set to film Iron Man in which he'll play Tony Stark's buddy Jim Rhodes/War Machine

Despite initial denials from Madonna's publicist, various Malawian relatives of the alleged newest addition to the Ciccone-Ritchie household claim that the adoption of one-year-old David Banda is proceeding apace. Madonna's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, earlier tried to finesse the adoption thing as Madonna's metaphorical adoption of Malawi in general. But Banda's father says his son will be "very well looked after in America," though he will make "regular" trips back to Malawi so as to "know his roots." (Apparently the little tyke won't be welcome in Madonna and Guy Ritchie's London home.) In response to the Bandas' joy, Rosenberg robotically intoned, "I am unable to make any official statement at this time," before self-destructing in a shower of sparks. Expect wee David and family to manifest a well-financed public silence very, very shortly.
