Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 has an appealing look and minigames that are fun at first, but the gameplay quickly wears thin because there's nothing to keep you playing.

USA Today is running an article that compares the better supplied and favorable Wii launch to the limited supplied and "disappointing" PS3 launch. However, the article implies the Xbox 360 has them both beat in terms of early holiday sales: "Nintendo's launch 'has been probably a little better than expected and Sony's has been a little bit more disappointing ... If you have to rank on who won this holiday so far, Microsoft is first, Nintendo a close second and Sony a distant third, which is a rare statement."
The report suggest that many gamers gave up on securing a PS3 because 38% of its prospective buyers were subjected to "sleep deprivation, lost wages, missed classes, the elements and even muggings" despite its being "
a winner." According to New Media Strategies, a research firm that monitors web activity, said side effects left a bad taste in consumers' mouths equating to only 27% favorable discussion for the PS3 compared to 49% favorable chatter for Wii. So what's it gonna take to get PlayStation Nation out of its seven month publicity funk? Better supply would be a start.

We love technological advancement, but there is something that just feels wrong about TAB Austria's Virtual Pinball machine. Sure, the six different animated games offer more variety than your conventional machine, and the 42" plasma display looks a damn site sexier than the usual mechanized pinball floor, but these things were never meant to be altered. No, not even the promise of online tournaments and user upgradeable games can sway us.
Our minds are made up by the way that we feel... so if you really love us, come on and let it show. Gosh, Wet Wet Wet were great. Anyway, if you are partial to TAB's Virtual Pinball machine, it has a ten-week wait time and the price is only available by request, which, unlike Wet Wet Wet, is not so fantastic. On Howard Stern this morning, Tina Fey opened up about what a "nightmare" it was to have Paris Hilton as a "piece of shit" guest host.
The cast had a running bet to see if the self-obsessed Hilton would ask a single personal question to any cast member at any time during the entire week. She asked one, according to Fey, to Seth Meyers, about the ethnicity of another cast mate.
When the discussion turned to Hilton's looks, Fey complained that strands of Hilton's "gross Barbie hair" were found all over the set, and that up-close, Paris actually "looks like a tranny."
We actually sort of feel for Paris. Like, we're pretty sure that Andy Samberg is Jewish, but is Kenan Thompson black? Who knows.

Nintendo and Nikkei have struck a deal to create a DS Title that "makes learning about the economy fun!" With the current economic crisis affecting most of the world right now, it seems to be perfect timing. We're going to go out on a limb and say that this isn't Miyamoto's newest hobby, as so many strange game concepts seem to originate. Nintendo aims to teach players the basics of economy, how it works, etc. and to familiarise you with keywords and such. Reportedly, the game will feature a series of touch screen quizzes. Just don't play it on the top of any tall buildings.

In busy contact center environments, headsets have become indispensable tools, as they increase productivity by delivering sound that is clearer and more natural than any other option.

Epic Games' Mark Rein says it's "too early to know" whether Unreal Tournament 3 will hit PS3 this year.
Rein was speaking to Eurogamer via email in light of Australian distribution reports that the PC version is set for mid-November but won't be joined by its console sibling until 2008.
Midway yesterday confirmed that the PC version is down for release in mid-November, although it couldn't be completely specific about the release date.
The publisher recently advised investors that the highly anticipated first-person shooter might miss the pre-Christmas release window and slip to 2008, with Rein later adding that the company had felt obliged to alert investors to the possibility despite a reasonable probability of getting it done this year.

(S01E03) It turns out that the episode title didn't just refer to Paolo Vova, one of the Darlings' many bankers. It is also a sexual position, demonstrated by one of the Darling children in a raunchy sex tape. At first I thought that there would be a lot of suspense surrounding the identity of the Darling on the tape, but it ended up taking on comedic elements. I loved the interviews between Nick and the Darling children after Patrick was ruled out. You can learn a lot about the Darlings in a brief encounter, and Nick certainly did. Jeremy "had" a sex tape featuring Buddy Ebsen, Juliet is a "real, total virgin" (the first major difference between her and Paris Hilton), and Karen still remembers that mixed tape that Nick made for her. There wasn't a huge payoff at the end of the tape plot, but it did bring Nick closer to the mysterious Simon Elder.
