Its makers claim a ten-minute session can cure those bleary deadlights of yours, so you can toss away those specs and contacts, forever eagle-eyed and triumphant over your once-stubborn progressive myopia. Either that or start getting used to playing lots of blues and wearing very dark sunglasses.

Sony's press is getting worse and worse after analysts took note of the PS3 launch. As predicted, Sony missed the 400,000 goal for US launch; many analysts predicted they only reached half that amount. To add insult to injury, some analysts expect Sony to only make roughly 10% of the original 4 million promised by year's end. Ouch!
In a report compiled by Bloomberg, Sony failed to ship even enough units to cover promised pre-orders to half of 150 stores surveyed. SooAnn Roberts, analyst with Kaufman Bros. (the company that surveyed the stores), is convinced that Sony may fail to ship more than 200,000 by year's end. Other analysts think Sony made 200,000 for launch and will struggle to match that number over the next month. Either way, Sony is in some serious trouble.
Even with all the problems they've had over the past year, the PS3 production problems will hit home with the consumer who rarely checks up on the news lines. While a myriad of issues plague the PS3's production, the biggest killer is the decision to use Blu-ray. Will the 50GB disc capacity be enough to make up for the nearly one year delay and significantly diminished production capacity, not to mention the price?

Warner Bros has announced that it will acquire TT Games. You may know TT games from their previous works of Lego Star Wars as well as Bionicle Heroes among others. Spanning 18 years and selling over 42 million games TT Games is the love child of Traveller's Tales and publisher Giant Interactive Entertainment. EA has just revealed in its latest European release schedule that Half Life 2: The Orange Box on Playstation 3 has been delayed again. The Xbox 360 and PC versions have been in stores since early October, but the Playstation 3 version would release 'a few weeks after that', according to Valve.
In the latest trailers Valve promised that the PS3 version would be in stores in time for the holidays. Apparently Valve ran in to some more trouble with the Playstation 3 as Orange Box on the Playstation 3 is now scheduled for release on January 17, 2008. A specific reason for this delay was not given.

NEW YORK -- AOL's acquisition binge of online advertising companies continued Wednesday as it announced plans to buy Quigo and its services for matching ads to the content of Web pages.
Former James Bond star Roger Moore insists it doesn't take a "good actor" to play the world's most famous secret agent.
Moore - who played the suave superspy in the early 1980s - insists criticism of the decision to cast Daniel Craig as 007 was harsh, because the role doesn't require much talent.
Engadget reports: "We'd been hearing that Sony's new 40GB PS3 featured a revised design with a 65nm Cell processor and improved cooling, but sadly it looks like those reports were in error.
"A Sony spokesperson has told Heise Online that the 40GB model continues to use 90mn processors, but does feature an updated design with a lower power consumption of just 120 to 140 watts, compared to 180 to 200 watts for the older models. Sony says its still planning on moving to 65nm processors in the near future, but for now, it looks like the PS3 is 90nm across the board."

Following the success of THE HISTORY CHANNEL Great Battles of Rome video game, THE HISTORY CHANNEL and Slitherine Strategies announce the development of a new title in the series, THE HISTORY CHANNEL Great Battles of the Middle Ages. The game will feature a new engine optimized for next generation consoles and will be released in 2008.

"The Witcher really is a good game and one that PC RPG fans will surely enjoy. It combines some entertaining and fast-paced combat with a well realized world and pretty decent story that branches and can end in three different fashions. With a load of choice in character creation on a point assignment and morality level, there?s plenty of reason to want to come back and play the 40-50 hour game again. The big problems mainly sit with the technical issues like crash bugs and long load times can be very frustrating. If it wasn't for those things The Witcher would have scored better here. If you can look past the technical side of things (which are still not as bad as some other RPGs released recently) The Witcher is definitely a game you?ll remember well over the years."
