There are nice people left in the world. Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell all filled in for Heath Ledger in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and they all donated their paychecks to Heath and Michelle's daughter, Matilda. Hopefully Matilda will get part of her Daddy's earning in Dark Knight, but for now she'll at least have a nice cushion from her nice friends. Happy Daughter's Day Matilda!

The Sony?s Playstation 3 has been in the market for about 9 months now and it has sold about 4.16 million consoles to the consumers. Microsoft?s Xbox 360 has sold 10.43 million consoles and the Nintendo Wii has sold 10.41 million consoles to the consumers, now why is the PS3 so far behind? Nintendo has gotten the casual market with its ever so popular Nintendo Wii and Microsoft got first to the market with their XBOX 360 and the developers have gotten more developing time on it than the PS3 and a bigger user base. Now, that leaves Sony, there are many reasons for this, here are a few of them.
"The News and Media: The news and media have been against the PS3 since the start of it. They have always been reporting news that is false and information that is against the PS3. They have said that the PS3 does not have all the functions of the X360 etc., but now with almost all that is over people will see that the PS3 is actually a good console. "
This Norcool fridge does away with the traditional idea of the singular, monolithic fridge, instead tucking your cold food away in drawers. And it's not a concept. Norcool's production Drawer Fridge system is not only real, but it could be extremely efficient, too. Top loading fridges and freezers, as Treehugger notes, don't spill cold as like front door traditional models do.
(Good theory, but the floors of each compartment are open, so it'll spill it's coolness every time you crack the fridge.) Another efficiency factor here: smaller compartments mean isolated exposure to warm air when you're digging for an ice cream sandwich in one place and leaving the rest of the compartments closed. But micro containers could be a tough call when, say, storing a 15-pound Turkey. Neat, but maybe just too weird to install at home. [Norcool via Treehugger]

The folks at
Wendy's are poking some fun at themselves with a
new series of fake parody commecials for a made-up sandwich called "
The Baconator," which consists of two quarter-pound beef patties, two slices of American cheese, ketchup, mayonnaise, no lettuce or tomato, and SIX strips of bacon. The commercials are even designed to look like authentic Wendy's commercials, as though they're actually attempting to sell this fatcube to human beings, plus Wendy's restaurants
will pretend to carry the "sandwich" on their menus and if customers order it, they will make the Baconator and then sell it to those customers!
The commercials are, admittedly, hilarious, and I'm glad that Wendy's isn't afraid to poke fun at itself, but I think they went a little over the top with how much they exaggerated the sandwich. Six strips of bacon? People don't even eat that much when they're EATING BACON, but I guess that's part of the humor. I also like that in the commercial, they describe the sandwich as "six strips of bacon and American cheese piled high on fresh, never frozen beef," as though anyone whose distress with mortal existence was in such crisis that they're not afraid to order this thing would actually care if the beef were frozen first.
Also, what a name! "The Baconator" It's perfect! They literally combined the word "bacon" with the word "Terminator," giving it the ring of some sort of sandwich from a crazy, post-apocalyptic world where fat grams are more valuable than platinum and waist size is a measurement of divine right.

Jayanna goes on to ask "How successful are these women? Do these women make two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year? I doubt it!" Good point Jay, but this show is called "
The Age of Love" not "The Salary of Love."
