Remember that column in the Murfreesboro (Tennessee) Post last week, in which the columnist rewrote the Jeffersons theme song for the Obama election? If you're a true music fan, you may recall the killer lyric, "Well we’re movin’ on up, To Washington, D.C. To a deee-luxe pimp pad, Painted whiiiite." Yes. Well that columnist is also, fittingly, a principal at one of the town's fine schools. And he's very sorry:
"Although my hobby as a columnist is not connected directly to my position as principal I should have known better than to attempt to find humor in a subject so sensitive to so many," Lewis wrote in an e-mail letter to parents obtained by The Daily News Journal through an open records request. "With all of that being said, I truly apologize to those of you who were offended by my comments."
To those of you who were not offended, sing along: "Yeah we’re movin’ on up, To the White House. I’ll be jetting with P. Diddy cross the sky." Har. [Tennessean. To Murfreesboro's credit, pretty much everybody there seemed embarrassed.]

(S07E01) One thing I can say about the season premiere of
Scrubs' seventh and last season: It wasn't as lurchingly awkward as last year's season premiere. Or most of the first half of last season, for that matter. But that doesn't mean it was good.
There were a few laugh-out-loud moments, but most of the jokes fell pretty flat. And none of the flatness had anything to do with the conclusion of last year's cliffhanger, where J.D. and Elliot, trying to escape some big life changes, lie next to each other, and kinda sorta lean in for a kiss...

CNN's Kristie LuStout talks to Blizzard Korea's Jungwon Hahn on October 17, 2007, about reasons behind the popularity of StarCraft and PC gaming in South Korea.
Eurogamer writes: :Let's get the inevitable comparison out of the way. Brunswick Pro Bowling for the Wii is a bit like the bowling game in Wii Sports, in that it's a bowling game for the Wii. It's not as good though."
"Actually Brunswick Pro Bowling is more like Rockstar Table Tennis, at least in theory. It's meant to be a realistic sports sim which is easy to pick up and play, but offers more depth for longer term players. It's not as good though."
Perhaps what will turn out to be one of the year's biggest sleepers is BlackSite: Area 51, the xeno-filled first-person shooter that is currently wrapping up production at Midway Studios Austin.
With the Xbox 360 version of the game, players will be able to play ranked and unranked matches, and voice support will have constant chatter for teammates while everyone will be able to hear each other if they're close enough, regardless of which team they're on. Unfortunately, the PlayStation 3 version will feature none of these options, and PC support is TBD.
It's also unfortunate that the online co-op that was promised for the game early on won't make it into the final release. Whether or not it could be added in a downloaded pack remains to be seen.
Desperate to keep up with Wii?s exponential growth and with Xbox 360?s surge after Halo 3?s launch, Sony has decided to operate another price cut for its troubled PlayStation 3.
Sony Computer Entertainment America announced today that the price of its PlayStation 3 with an 80 GB hard drive will be $499 instead of $599, effective immediately.
Also the 40 GB PS3, announced earlier this month for Europe version will go on sale in United State on November 2.
PlayStation 3?s price was heavily criticized by analysts and gamers alike, even from the moment it was announced for the first time. But Sony argued that the price is fully justified, because PlayStation 3 is also a media entertainment hub due to its BluRay drive.
Even with its BluRay, PlayStation 3 is lagging far behind its competitors and it was constantly outsold by Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360.
