"Sega have sent us a review code of Viking: Battle For Asgard, from the english developers of Creative Assembly. As usual, we took the time to record a lot of gameplay footage, and here comes the first thirty minutes of the game divided in three files. A fourth video will follow quickly, and will showcase the first big battle of the game, which concludes the first island of the adventure. Enjoy !
Update: Fourth part, showing the big battle right at the end of the first island (a bit less than 3 hours of play time), is up."
The lead character, Dark vador?s Apprentice, has been sought out and trained by Darth Vader himself in the years following the end of Episode III. This is a period when the Jedi were scattered and hunted down, the Galactic Empire consolidated its hold on the galaxy, and apparently Darth Vader was secretly grooming an apprentice to help him one day overthrow the Emperor.
The author tries to draw a parallel between the recent Xbox Live outages and the enormous spike in PSN activity in Europe and the US.
From the article: "It?s interesting how closely this turn of events for PSN follows the recent ?not outage? with Xbox Live. I wonder how many dual-console owners got sick of getting kicked out of CoD4 and decided to try moving their ethernet cable over to their Blu-ray player."
Gamesindustry Biz reports: "Game.co.uk has listed 43 titles for members of the public to choose from, including big-sellers such as FIFA 08, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and More Brain Training with Dr Kawashima, and some cult favourites like Okami and Super Paper Mario.
Other awards being contested include Best Publisher and Best Developer, which have already been won by Nintendo and Bungie respectively, with Best Console, Best Value for Money and Game of the Year yet to be announced.
The full People's Choice shortlist is as follows:"
Today Dutch gaming website XGN.nl received an e-mail from quite a strange address containing the name Sven van de Perre. The e-mail contributed 50 screenshots that appear to be from Volition's Red Faction: Guerilla.
The screens came in at high quality, but all contain a strange website name and 'greetz to' text. Sven van de Perre is know in the games industry as Executive Editor at OPM. It looks like someone is abusing Sven van de Perre's name to spread fake Red Faction: Guerilla screenshots, but why?
Are this screenshots genuine? Check them out and let us know!
Some fan made a Mario game in the Halo universe. The game was made on Game Maker 7 Pro. A demo was released last weekend (January 12-13, 2008). You can download the demo from the Alternative Sources listed below.
