Description: It has to be said that the main debate currently raging on about the Playstation 3 is the price. The price of the PS3 is made up of many things including the Cell Processor and other components. However, the general consensus seems to be that the console (or at least the ?basic? package) could have been a lot cheaper had Blu-Ray been optional.

Given that the Blu-Ray drive could have been removed, and the console would still have had its basic functionality (although the games would need to be pressed on to standard DVD?s and not Blu-Ray discs), we decided to start a poll - should the Blu-Ray drive in the PS3 have been optional? Yes or No.

European gaming site Gamereactor have got their hands on some all new screenshots taken from Assassin?s Creed, which after E3 is currently one of the most anticipated titles for the Playstation 3. Check out the screenshots here.
