If there was an Olympic event for the best first dance between newlyweds then these two just won the Gold

For the 2000 wedding of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, British tabloid OK! had an exclusive contract with the Douglas-Jones enterprise to run dewy styled photos of the proceedings. Rival exclamatory publication Hello! scammed and ran their own photos, resulting in years of litigation between the two tabs. This week, the dispute reached Britain's highest court -- a panel of "Law Lords" in the House of Lords. OK! claims business interference, Hello! claims the journalistic right to "spoil" its rival's scoop. Concerning a particularly unflattering Hello! shot of Douglas feeding her wedding cake, Zeta-Jones says, "I don't usually like my husband shoving a spoon down my throat to be photographed." Notice the key phrase "to be photographed" -- Douglas can shove a spoon down her throat all he wants, long as it goes undocumented. So amusing that the highest British court has to waste its time with such frivolous celebrity tomfoolery. Silly foreigners! Oh, wait.

Ugh. That is all I have to say about this week's episode of Friday Night Lights. Just ugh. I'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden everything sucked. Except the Taylors, who were delightful as always. Everyone else - dead to me. I'm looking at you, writers. I know you wrote this episode long before the strike began, so there's no excuse. Lay off the late night Red Bull. And apologies for the lateness. I got way behind this week and almost decided not to write this recap, but then caved anyway, if for no other reason that to loudly complain about how awful it was. Join me, won't you?

Last week on The Real World/Road Rules Challenge, we saw the first semblance of strategery as Beth assembled an alliance in an effort to dismantle the cool (read: idiot) girls: Kina, Robyn, Diem, and Jodi. Even though we'd seen informal alliances on this show before, this seemed like the first time there had been an active effort by anyone to shake things up. Of course, last week, everyone was brimming with optimism that the tables would turn, but if there's anything we know about these former Real World/Road Rulers, it's that they're not the brightest kids in the world. Would the Outsiders be able to keep their heads out of their asses long enough to make an impact? Or would this scheming simply fall flatter Casey's old chest?
