As part of the final Hollywood & Games Summit panel in Los Angeles, LucasArts' Jim Ward has been discussing the oft-raised question of a lightsaber game for Nintendo's Wii, saying that the company has internal prototypes running using the Wiimote.
He added that the whole concept of a title using a lightsaber of Nintendo Wii was "...in place! There?ll be some stuff out this Fall - it?s going to be a lot of fun." It's unclear whether Ward could have been referring to the TT Games-developed Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, which will debut later this year on multiple formats including the Wii, or whether the company is planning further, as yet unannounced Wii-specific Star Wars games.
“I don’t know who I am!” wails a banged up and bloody James McAvoy somewhere in the first third of the new super-slick action flick Wanted. And while that existential admission—identity, the quest for self—may be the heart of this futuristic assassin tale, it’s certainly not the film’s soul. Here, he pulls a clever career 360 to inhabit Wesley Gibson, a nobody office drone with an anxiety problem, an overbearing boss, a

Sure, you could just keep on using the stuff for celebrations or hilarious gags, but wouldn't it be more of a gas to drop four-large on a pair of these 1970's behemoths? "Buy it now" before your chance to own a piece of helium-powered audiophile history passes you by.[Thanks, Ryan W]

On the /FilmCast tonight a discussion about the new Disaster Movie trailer turned into an examination of the spoof film. Neil from FilmSchoolRejects had to remind me that spoof movies were not always the bottom of the comedy genre. Mel Brooks and Monty Python created highbrow (or at least highbrow in comparison to contemporary spoof [...]
