Pro-G writes:
"For one, the game's learning curve is a joke, and I'm sure will prove to be a major stumbling block for new players. It starts absolutely rock hard, and you'll be spending a good few hours engaging in random battles just to level up your party to the point where you can defeat a story battle. But once you've done that, you'll find the battles immediately after are very easy, until you get to the next rock hard story fight and you need to do a bit more levelling.
You'll soon find that the camera can be extremely annoying too, but by far the worst of the game's flaws is with the multiplayer side of the game, which is largely unusable.
Despite these flaws, FFT remains one of my favourite games on the PSP. It might not have the best in-game graphics we've ever seen on the handheld, or the best multiplayer options, but few games have as much charm and tactical depth. It might not be for everyone, but for those of you with a sweet tooth for turn-based RPGs it's essential."

Mysterious industry "insider" Surfer Girl reveals more "trainwrecks" and/or "nightmares" hidden behind the closed door of Ubisoft:
? How the editorials at Ubisoft have power of life or death over any project in the company.
? How Martin Tremblay, former CEO of Ubisoft Montreal, was "asked to resign" because a certain then senior producer named Yannis Mallat could not stand him. (Mallat has connection to the the Guillemot family that owns Ubisoft; After Tremblay's departure, Mallat was promptly promoted to CEO.)
? How Mallat influenced the editorials to kill an unannounced "AAA" HUDless FPS.
? The early troubled development of Assassin's Creed, and its secret sci-fi twist.
? Tom Clancy's connection (or lack of) to Ubisoft Montreal and Splinter Cell Conviction.

SCRAWL: "A new update to the official Japanese White Knight Chronicles website shows us a brand new area in the game as well as a new character. The new area is rather woodsy, it seems, as we see nothing but log-ccabins, wood, and grass. The new character, who's name we do not know in English, has a Knight just as the main character does, and it's pretty freakin' bad-ass too."
