When Ramsay goes over to Petrozza’s side, instead of yelling at him and saying that his restaurant looks like the inside of an old woman’s purse, he calls it “rustic, as well as “nice and elegant.” Petrozza even has the audacity to call it “a place where the guys can come too,” and Ramsay doesn’t shove the stem of one of his fake flowers through his eyeball. We’ve clearly gone through the looking glass here, people—and I don’t like it.
It’s been a couple of years since Michael J. Fox has appeared in a small-screen role. Now it looks like the guy known for roles that involved going back in time, turning into a werewolf and a money-loving republican kid named Alex P. Keaton, is in talks for not one but two guest appearances on two TV series! If all goes well, we could be seeing Fox return to Scrubs as well as appearing in a few episodes of Rescue Me.
NBC announced that the premiere of this summer’s Office webseries will take place on Thursday, July 10th (that’s this Thursday!) at 3:00 p.m. on NBC.com. In the last webseries, the accounting people struggled to figure out where a missing sum of money went. This summers webseries will follow Kevin as he deals with some money troubles of his own.
Adobe should look into getting some Photoshop sponsorships on Fox News Channel. The internet, print, and television media is in an uproar over the doctoring of two journalists' photographs, some going as far as calling Fox's actions Anti-Semitic. Fox, of course, is claiming that it's all fair play and that they're just defending themselves from attacks by the mainstream media that they're currently leading in ratings.
Summertime is all about the webisodes. Other than binging on DVDs, watching old episodes of my favorite TV series, there’s nothing better than a good webseries to tide me over between TV seasons. As I’m a Heroes fan and it’s been more than half a year since we’ve gotten any new Heroes episodes, I’m really excited for the Heroes webisodes to begin airing.
Kate says the sextuplets didn’t want the fancy carnival birthday party they had last year. She insists they told her they wanted a family birthday instead. Oh I really want to believe her, really I do! I like Kate. She’s candid and funny and quirky too with all her germ and mess phobias.
It looks like Jamie-Lynn Sigler is returning to HBO. According to E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos, Sigler, who is well known for her role as Meadow Soprano in The Sopranos, is set to guest star on Entourage for a three episode arc. Sigler will be playing herself and will be a potential love interest for one of the guys.
Harris might be widely known for his role as neo-yuppie, Barney on How I Met Your Mother but many of us remember when he played the adorable kid-genius, Doogie Howser, MD. Harris hasn’t forgotten his roots either and he’s using his former fake-doctorness to promote Old Spice.
I’m guessing that among the many (many, many) Batman fans who are counting down the days to the premiere of The Dark Knight, there are two general groups: Those who are trying to avoid even the tiniest spoilers related to TDK and those who are dead set on absorbing every bit of Batman-related news they can feast their eyes on in anticipation of the premiere. If you’re of the latter group, these specials will probably do the trick.
Jay Karnes, who plays Detective "Dutch" Wagenbach on The Shield, is jumping over to a new show on FX. Karnes is set to join Shield writer-executive producer Kurt Sutter in a recurring role on his new drama, Sons of Anarchy.
During the week of July 11-20, cable/sattelite network ReelzChannel will be preparing us for the release of the most anticipated movie of the year- The Dark Knight. For 10 days, ReelzChannel TV and their website, Reelzchannel.com, will provide us all with a masters-level education on the Batman franchise with interviews, retrospectives, trivia, production notes, and much more.
I’m a sympathy crier. Oftentimes if I see someone else really crying, I cry too. This happens on occasion when watching a TV show or movie. In those cases though, the actor crying has to really sell it in order for me to well up. Such was the case in tonight’s episode of Army Wives, when Dan Lauria’s character teared up during his best friend’s funeral.
I’ve heard quite a few complaints about the lack of Rescue Me this summer. Unfortunately, the popular FX series won’t be returning with new episodes until next year. Rescue Me’s absence only adds to the severe shortage of watchable drama series this summer. On the bright side, FX has started airing Rescue Me minisodes.
Ok, initially the premise of this show sounded cruel to me. I haven’t seen any of the previous episodes but the idea of setting out to genuinely scare someone just seems kind of mean. Then again, I assume the friends and loved ones who are responsible for volunteering the victim probably wouldn’t do it if they didn’t think the person would have a sense of humor about it, right?
Like with all comedy though, some of it is going to appeal to some people while not-so-much for others. This will probably be the case for viewers of Martin Lawrence Presents. Some people with less discriminating senses of humor will probably find every act laugh-worthy but even if you’re a bit pickier about your comedy, there’s sure to be at least a few acts that’ll get you laughing.
