Imagine for a moment if there were a publisher actively looking for those awesome Japanese titles that never make it to the US. Imagine if you could suggest such a game to them, and have them actually consider it in earnest.
Their name is XSEED Games. They have only 11 employees. They answer all their email. And with the former president of Square Enix USA signing their deals and the former president of Sega of Japan funding their efforts, they currently localize their games in-house.
This is a list for Walmart's Black Friday sales.
GamesRadar writes "Years before powerful Japanese RPG-smiths Square and Enix merged, the minds behind Enix's Dragon Quest and Square's Final Fantasy came together to create a dream project that would allow them to experiment in ways their established franchises wouldn't. The resulting game took the Super NES as far as it could go, technically speaking, and it has had only one other release since, an admittedly half-baked port to the PSOne. But now this not-so-forgotten masterpiece, Chrono Trigger, gets a deserving revival on the DS."

IncGamers' Tamer Asfahani looks at how Ninjatown plays on the DS. An excerpt maybe:
Ninjatown is a tower-defense, real-time strategy game that gives you a top-down view of your battleground and is based on the cutsie and lovavble Shawnimals franchise. Because it's a franchise you may already be cringing, but trust me, this isn't a disappointment to the brand, but rather a very good, well done and beautifully presented game on a platform which is ideal for this game.
Not surprisingly the back bone of Konami's sales was the PS3.
Other facts:
The xbox 360 accounted for 3% of sales.
PS-something consoles accounted for nearly 70% of sales. (Ps3,2,psp)
PC- 1% of sales.
Media Create Sales: 11/10 - 11/16 (Hardware)
Nintendo DSi takes the top spot with 85k sold, more than all home systems (Wii, PS3, 360, PS2) combined.
Notes:
1. DSi outsold all consoles combined.
2. PSP regressing slightly backwards.
3. PS3 still elevated above trends.
4. 360 dropped over 50% over the previous week.
5. Wii has sold between 23k and 30k units for 8 weeks straight.

Notinthere's Yoshimaui writes: A possibly fake scan has been circulated all around the internet getting every Pokémon fanatic's attention. It's a scan featuring two box art covers exposing what looks to be a Pokémon Gold & Silver version remake for the Nintendo DS. Though I'm sure many fans were excited to see this scan there has still been no confirmation on a possible remake.

MCV: 'Rock Star' combo blame rhythm action titles for lack of new US bands
Nevertheless, Transformers Animated: The Game gets enough right to be a competent, decently made game that doesn't rely on its license to succeed but remains faithful to it. Well, except for the lack of actual transforming.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the holiday season. IGN won't mention any holidays by name because they are ridiculously politically correct and considerate of all people who love Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's that time of year again. That time when the IGN Nintendo team gathers around a burning fire, holiday music playing in the background, smoking jackets on, and ponders the things that it's collectively thankful for.
It's the time of year when that raft of regular EA franchises makes its annual appearance, and of course no holiday charts would be complete without the inclusion of a Need for Speed title.

Gamezine.co.uk writes:
"Hardware sales of Sony's PlayStation 3 improve in Japan, even managing to battle Nintendo's DS in the Software Charts.
The PlayStation 3 struggled to reach 5,000 weekly units in Japan this October, even lagging behind Microsoft's Xbox 360. Things weren't looking good for the console in its home country, but recent developments suggest that the dark clouds might be clearing."
