Kombo writes, "It looks like Nintendo is going to be cracking down on homebrew development in a big way. This adjustment to the terms of service will allow Nintendo to not only remove full channels from the Wii memory, this could also put your saved games in jeopardy. No word yet on if this will result in your Twilight Princess saved game getting pooched.
In further terms of service updates, Nintendo changed the terms of services on their website to reflect the new found ability to modify/update the Wii's firmware without the user's permission or notification...."

"Black Friday is quickly approaching, and here is a quick summary of Black Friday video game deals.
Our approach will be simple... to keep down the clutter, we won't list items in the ads that are at full retail price (unfortunately too many items)."
Nidzumi Writes: Cover art for a music album or possibly even a DVD is often held in the highest regard. Many covers for albums are preserved as works of art instead of simply trying to sell you a product. From large vinyl art works to smaller Digipak cases, the cover for an album is almost as important as the music it's self. Meanwhile if you look at art for the front of video games you see a different picture. Normally publishers are just trying to sell you on the product by promoting violence or by showing action shots of everything even if the game is deeper than that. The truth is that if you delve through the masses of discardable covers you can actually find some pretty interesting and great graphic work.

About 90 percent of U.S. kids ages 8 to 16 play video games, and they spend about 13 hours a week doing so (more if you're a boy). Now a new study suggests virtual violence in these games may make kids more aggressive in real life.

They can't all be winners, right? Every console has at least a couple terrible titles. Well IGN is here to bring it all bubbling back to the surface like some sort of horrible nightmare. Happy Halloween.

From N-Europe.com: "Nintendo of Europe have today launched a brand new website to help consumers decide what to buy (and how to buy it) during the upcoming holiday season."
As corny as it looks now, it's the same in-your-face style used today, where the marketplace is strangely similar to the early '90s, with warm fuzzy Nintendo in the dominant position, and more edgy aggressors trying to steal market share. Will we laugh as hard at today's commercials as we do to the following Sega ads of yesteryear?
Absolutely great image showing the high standard that games have to have to get the highly coveted Nintendo Seal of Quality.

"Miyamoto teams up with a trio of video game characters he created in an impressive short illustrated and animated by Newgrounds user, Awkward-Squid.
The concept behind the flash animation, titled "Legend of Miyamoto", involves Mario, Link, and Donkey Kong helping their video game father make his way through their world. Squid says that the work was rushed a bit due to the fact it was being done as a university assignment, but I think it turned out great."

For those unlucky few who have missed out on classic titles on the GameCube will end up having another chance to experience them on Wii. Up until now, Nintendo has confirmed that the re-releases will obviously be available in Japan, and later, Europe. Strangely, Nintendo of America has not really provided any word on an NA timeframe, let alone an official confirmation. Based on new details coming from the ESRB however, there's a pretty good chance we'll at least be seeing Pikmin 1 and 2 in North America soon...
Much has been said recently about Square Enix turning their back on Sony, as in the last 6 months, Square Enix have seemed to shift camps and now appear to be courting Microsoft much more than anyone else. This is primarily down to the shock announcement revolving around Final Fantasy XIII, when at E3 earlier this year, Square Enix announced that it was no longer a Playstation 3 exclusive in North America and Europe.
Further rumours have been abound recently due to the Tokyo Game Show 2008, where Microsoft had its booth right next to where Square Enix set up. Comments from Yoichi Wada during his keynote speech also helped to ignite the fire, but the question is, where do Square Enix's loyalties actually lie? Is this all being blown completely out of proportion?
