BBC Darren writes:
"A reader of the blog - Kyle Barrett - has emailed to ask if a mystery game I had teased people with a few months ago had finally been revealed at Sony's E3 press conference.
If the footage I was shown truly is "in game", as told to me by the Sony PR people, then we could be on the brink of a step change in what games consoles are capable of in terms of story-telling and immersion."
The latest 1UP E3 wrap-up podcast (which runs for a more-than-lengthy 3 hours) has divulged some information on the possibility of a new PlayStation 3 exclusive from Square Enix. Towards the end of the podcast, Shane states that he has been speaking to representatives from Square Enix, who have told him that "Final Fantasy XIII on 360 announcement swung the ball towards Microsoft. At Square Enix's Japan event in 2 weeks, they will swing the ball back towards Sony".
The reason Shane was questioning the event, was due to plans for large announcements regarding the Blu-ray release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. Square could possibly be announcing a remake of Final Fantasy VII for PS3, a Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children game for PS3, Final Fantasy Versus XIII on PS3, or another brand new title.

The News Tribune writes: "An Army captain who recently served as an intelligence liaison to the Japanese military has been charged with conspiring to ship holographic, night-vision-compatible firearm sights to Japan.
In a two-paragraph charging document filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle, prosecutors wrote that Tomoaki Iishiba bought 60 of the EoTech 553 sights from a Northbrook, Ill., company called OpticsPlanet, then mailed them to coconspirators in Japan without obtaining an export license. The company's Web site lists the sights at $639 apiece.
He has also written a manual for the M4 rifle, has endorsed a line of knives and is credited as a technical adviser in the making of the video game Metal Gear Solid."
Owen Good writes:
"I have the game but I have not played it intensively enough to discover these issues. But if these issues are on the level and, worse, if some gameplay mechanics are not patchable, then it's an almost unforgivable shame. Especially regarding sliders - how can something like that get through QA? How can the super-sim glitch go unnoticed?"
Torrence Davis of The Bitbag writes, "Hiphopgamer interviewed Michael Pachter at E3. He tells us who he thinks had the best E3 Conference. "
VGP comments on the similarities between the video game crash of 1983 and console gaming today. Do things need to change or are we doomed to repeat the past?
Square Enix has just announced that The Last Remnant will be released for the Xbox 360 worldwide on November 20, 2008.The PlayStation 3 release date hasn't been announced yet.

That Gaming Site (TGS) has written an article about the new PS3 exclusive
Sony revealed it's new online game by Zipper at E3 earlier this week and it's gotten us pretty excited. So far we know this,
Online battles support 256 real people
All people divided into groups of 8
Each squad will have a leader determined through the game ranking system
So they are the main facts. what we would like to see though are these,
When communicating with people, there should be an option for a box to pop up in the top right that will display their image through PS eye. This will make chatting seem more fun. If speaking to multiple people at the same time, you should be able to toggle which PS eye you watch.
Gamervision:
''Yes, Killzone 2 is beautiful, that shouldn't be shocking at this point. Even in its "pre-alpha" state, which is unfinished, glitchy, and has plenty of graphical issues, the game has the best visuals this console generation. When compared to games like Far Cry 2 and Crysis, Killzone 2 stands tall and has amazingly high-resolution textures and character models.
Gameplay is another story. Killzone 2 doesn't feel bad, exactly, but it also doesn't play much better than the original. The controller has a strange layout which feels off, and while the game looks like it should be amazing, shortcomings in pacing and gameplay prevent it from being anything but mediocre.''
Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software, has explained why upcoming FPS Aliens: Colonial Marines wasn't shown at E3 this week, saying it was publisher SEGA's decision and had nothing to do with the current quality of the game.
Kotaku:
"Two guys worked up an extremely patient, social engineering prank that had 2K Games support believing, or at least suspicious of the possibility of a hacked Grand Theft Auto IV demo on pirate sites. And in the back-and-forth, it turned up this reply from tech support:
"The PC version of GTA IV has not even been announced for release and is still in development so is not about to be released on a website." "

"By now you all know that Bioshock is coming to the PS3 system. It has taken a long time and many rumours for this to be announced but it is coming. So far the new version has all downloadable content, new content exclusive for the system, trophy support and home. With all this support it seems that the studio are getting on well with PS3, so will Bioshock 2 be a simultaneous launch?"
More after the jump.
Sony Corp. this week demonstrated a full level in LittleBigPlanet for the Playstation 3 at the E3 Media & Business Summit.
In the video, three players side-scroll through a complex construction level that requires each to cooperate. Through a series of complex balance beams and swing-jumps, each player must take advantage of life-like physics to reach the end of the level.
Over at the official Killzone 2 site, Guerrilla games developer motherh666 was asked about Killzone 2 A.I in which he replies that, the "A.I Was Toned Down Quite A Lot" so they could properly demonstrate the game to the press.
Guerrilla Games - Developer motherh666:
"Yes, it was toned down quite a lot. When putting games on pods it is more important for us to show as much of the game as possible, rather than making the life of the person playing it difficult. The demo was fairly tame."
The intro for the PS3 version of Soul Calibur IV has surfaced. Intro also shows Darth Vader.
Maxconsole writes: "After watching E3 live via a friends stream I heard about the New Video Store for PS3 Owners. It sounded amazing and I planned to purchase content. However the days past and the news comes that its not available to us EU based PS3 owners!
Anyway cutting to the chase, it pissed me off and most of the people I know. Others and I tried the simple basic network concept of Proxy but as you should know it was a FAIL..."

That Gaming Site have publsihed an article about exclusivity of Bioshock 2.
This leads me onto the next topic. With all this support it seems that the studio are getting on well with PS3, so will Bioshock 2 be a simultaneous launch?
