Capcom has opened the Japanese Dead Rising for Wii website and released the first batch of official screens for the game. Looking at the shots, it appears the amount of Zombies on screen at any one time has taken a little bit of a hit; however thanks to the new camera angles the shopping mall still appears to be populated with a fair amount of zombies. The Zombies are also less unique with many of them looking the same. Their level of detail has also dropped. However, make up your own mind and check out the

If this year’s Nintendo conference wasn’t proof positive enough, this about proves it. Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed in a new interview that the E3, for Nintendo at least, is no longer about appealing to just the core gamer as it was previously. Miyamoto says “Now we look at more … an opportunity for us to introduce new concepts and new types of play that we intend to bring to the broader audience, particularly because of the media that gathers at E3 now.”

The June NPD is in and, as Reggie said in the Nintendo conference on Tuesday, the Wii is now the console leader in the United States; finally overtaking the Xbox 360 just 20 months into its life cycle. The Wii now sits at nearly 10.0 million units after selling 666,000 last month. The DS continues to do well, with 783,000 units sold in June; making it the top telling video game system in June. The DS total in the US now stands at 20.8 million. Software sales also favoured Nintendo, with 6 spots taken up by games on the Wii and DS.

Two new games have hit the Wii Shopping Channel this week for WiiWare. First up, a new game in the form of “Pirates: The Key of Dreams”. The games concept sounds similar to the “Pirates!” Game from Sid Meier, but since it has just been released we couldn’t vouch for the quality of it. At 1000 points it may pay to do some more research on it.

The game which is due to hit Japan in the Summer will look like Gradius III did on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The game has the name Gradius Rebirth, no concrete details apart from that have been revealed at this stage.

Highlights: Super Smash Bros Brawl retakes the top spot this week with the following seven slots also reserved to Nintendo products. Even with all of Nintendo’s success here in Australia it’s still amazing to see so many Wii and DS games in the top ten compared to just a few years ago when only the Pokemon Gameboy Advance games would register a mention. There is not much to mention about this week’s charts as pretty much everything has stuck in the same spot.

One of those magical games that everyone hoped would get announced and shown at E3 has been well confirmed to be in development. In a Media Q&A session today Shigeru Miyamoto has
come out (from the most unlikely source) and flat confirmed the games existence. “We're making Pikmin", was his exact words, and that’s all you're gonna get out of Nintendo for now, so it begs the question what system is it on?

The latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu confirms that the break out Xbox 360 hit Dead Rising is heading to the Wii. The game is a port of the same game on the Xbox 360 and will of course have Wiimote "waggle" attacks similiar to what we saw in RE4 Wii Edition. Capcom is trying as hard as possible to make sure the game looks the same on the Wii (it won't but at least they are trying). The game's camera has changed to a over the top perspective like Resident Evi 4 too and there will be new missions in the game. There is no release date set for the game as of yet, scans inside.

Speaking to G4 TV, Reggie Fils-Aime was asked about Kid Icarus Wii, to which he responded ““You know, we never said he was coming. The Animal Crossing that we’ve been hearing about that people wanted.
